Department of Orthopaedics Chair

Our department is committed to providing exemplary, state-of-the-art care for all our patients, educating the next generation of musculoskeletal care providers, and changing treatment approaches through advanced research and constant self-evaluation.

Our clinical services span several closely associated facilities that each focus on care to specific populations and are each staffed by highly subspecialized, expert orthopaedic faculty. We are highly engaged in patient-centered care with a commitment to understanding outcomes from the patient’s perspective.

Our educational efforts are dedicated to providing a challenging and nurturing environment for all students, residents and fellows. Our trainees work with world-class faculty who are serious about their education and intellectual growth.

Research efforts of the department have garnered many prestigious honors, including strong funding support from the many private and public foundations. We maintain five active research laboratories that investigate a wide range of orthopaedic problems from the clinical/health services level to the molecular biological level and are ranked as a “top 20” NIH funded orthopaedic department.

We appreciate your interest in our program, and welcome the opportunity to share with you more through the website.
