  • About Me

    Dr. Akila Mansour was born in Algiers, Algeria, and went to Blida University Medical School where she obtained her MD degree. She completed a four-year anatomic pathology residency at the University of Blida/Douera University Hospital. She then moved to California where she lived for five years before joining the University of Kentucky pathology residency program in 2018. Akila enjoys all aspects of pathology and is especially interested in gastrointestinal, pancreas and liver pathology. Outside of work, Akila enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys knitting and crocheting and making Algerian sweets and traditional dishes with her daughters.
