Dr. Matthew Carda grew up in Humboldt, Iowa. He spent two years at Iowa State University studying aerospace engineering. However, he soon realized math was not his thing and decided medicine would be easier. He transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to live out his lifelong dream of being a Husker and complete his BS in biochemistry. He then went on to complete his medical degree at A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. From there, he moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he completed an internship in pediatrics and then his AP/CP residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Matt has always wanted to live in the mountains, and he looks forward to taking his wife and children to many of the state and national parks while he completes his fellowship in surgical pathology.
