Bachelor of Science (2 + 2 Track) Applicants
Applications are to be submitted to the MLS Admissions Committee between January 1st and March 1st to be considered for admission to the program for fall semester. The application instructions and forms will be accessible online beginning December 1st. Enrollment is limited. Late applications may be considered if space is available. Applicants will be notified by May of the Admissions Committee's decision and accepted students will begin the program in fall semester. A mandatory orientation session for accepted students is held one week before classes begin in fall semester. All international applicants are required to pass the TOEFL test, administered by the University Testing Center.
- Applicants must submit applications to the MLS Admissions Committee between January 1st and March 1st to be considered for fall admission.
- Admission to the MLS program is contingent on maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA and a minimum math/science GPA of 2.5.
- In order to maintain this GPA, a grade of C+ or better in any remaining prerequisite courses will probably be needed.
- A grade of C- or better is required for all MLS prerequisites.
Applicants to the post-baccalaureate track are required to have minimum cumulative and math/science GPAs of 2.5. MLS pre-requisite courses may be waived if the completed baccalaureate degree was in biology, chemistry, microbiology or other physical science. It is recommended that applicants schedule an advising appointment with an MLS advisor to review their previous coursework. Pre-requisite course requirements may be waived at the discretion of the Program Director.

Post-baccalaureate students complete the same professional program as 2+2 Track students (see MLS Curriculum). Post-baccalaureate students may register with non-matriculation status (no major declared) for the professional ‘MDLB’ courses in fall, spring, and summer semesters (late August to late September the following year). A mandatory orientation session for accepted students is held one week before classes begin in fall semester.

All Pre-MLS students must complete two years of pre-professional/prerequisite science courses plus general education and bachelor degree requirements.
