Welcome Lauren Pearson

The Department of Pathology is pleased to welcome Lauren Pearson, DO, MPH to the Clinical Pathology Division. Dr. Pearson holds the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical) and serves as medical director of University Hospital Clinical Laboratories and the laboratory director of South Jordan Health Center Clinical Laboratory.
Dr. Pearson is thrilled to be here in her “dream job”. In addition to the above, her responsibilities include the oversight of the Point of Care system. She also serves as a general clinical pathologist. Dr. Pearson is very interested in process improvement and creating a culture of continuous team building. Her priority is to elevate others to do their best by focusing on interpersonal dynamics in the work place.
She comes to the University of Utah from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine where she completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology. She earned a BS in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She then earned a DO, MPH from Touro University California in osteopathic medicine.
Dr. Pearson and her family enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the Utah mountains. She loves spending the weekend hiking, biking and is going to give skiing a try this winter.
