Welcome Dr. Aja Aravamudhan

The Department of Pathology is pleased to announce that Aja Aravamudhan, PhD, NRCC, joined the Medical Laboratory Sciences Division as an Assistant Professor in July.

After earning her PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of Connecticut Health Center, she was drawn to the University of Utah for its innovative environment and commitment to student success.

She specializes in clinical chemistry, with experience in automated chemistry, laboratory developed tests, and assay validation. Aja has particularly enjoyed mentoring undergraduate researchers and medical residents and looks forward to continuing that within the MLS program.

In her free time, Aja enjoys cooking nutritious meals, taking classes at the gym, and engaging in community activities.
