Welcome Dr. Jessica Williams

Jessica F. Williams, M.D., Ph.D, joined the Department of Pathology faculty in August 2025. Dr. Williams specializes in genitourinary pathology and solid tumor molecular pathology and holds the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical).

A native of California, Dr. Williams first came to Utah to dance with Ballet West, after which she received a BS in physics at the University of Utah. She completed her MD at Yale School of Medicine along with a PhD in cell biology, and went on to complete an anatomic pathology residency and genitourinary pathology fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She then returned to the U to complete the molecular genetic pathology fellowship program.

The national reputation of ARUP and the Huntsman Cancer Institute, her previous experiences at the University of Utah, and a desire to be near family all played a role in bringing Dr. Williams back to the department. She looks forward to meeting more of the faculty, trainees, and staff.

Dr. Williams appreciates the arts and the outdoors. She is a supporter of classical music, dance, and the fine arts, and enjoys hiking, backpacking, and skiing.
