Maggie Gerk, DO
I chose Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital for the friendly “work hard, play hard” environment that the program and people emanated on interview day and beyond. There is no shortage of learning opportunities at this beautiful academic center and we see some wild things (even the "zebras" that you are told you’ll only ever see on boards!). I feel grateful for my wonderful residency family, teachers and support system that have helped me navigate this busy, beautiful, stressful thing called residency. And once you climb those beautiful mountains to the pristine alpine lakes (my fiancé and I got engaged in the Uintas during intern year!), become a member of The Front Climbing community (trying to actively recruit everyone in our program), explore the local breweries or snowboard (or ski if that is your thing) on the freshest powder, you will never want to leave this beautiful place.
