Dana Peralta, MD
When I arrived in Salt Lake for my residency interview, I knew immediately that it would be hard to top. From the large academic children's hospital and beautiful surrounding mountains, to the very apparent close-knit community both in and outside the hospital, I was in. That initial impression became a reality, as I can now attest to the rigorous clinical training and wide exposure to both rare and common medical conditions and the unwavering support from co-residents and attendings. With a strong interest in neonatology, I could not be more grateful for the dedicated mentorship and research opportunities that have helped further my career aspirations. Outside the hospital, I love running in the parks or in Millcreek canyon, grabbing coffee and a scone at Tulie bakery, hitting the slopes in the winter, and relaxing with my husband and puppy. Utah has become home, and I don’t foresee ever leaving!
