Message from the Program Director
Within the University of Utah PM&R Department, we intentionally work to cultivate respectful, authentic connections among diverse people—both within our department and across our organization and community. We are here to support each other every day. We break bread together, laugh with each other, and learn from each other.
We embrace the value of inclusion because it brings in different ideas and perspectives leading to better problem-solving. Working in diverse teams opens dialogue and promotes creativity which we value.
We are fully aware we live in a society that was designed to marginalize many groups and we want to be part of creating equity amongst all human beings. Inclusion is a value that requires committed and persistent action, and we are fully dedicated to that effort.
In our program, everyone can be their authentic selves, and everyone belongs.
