Interests & Hobbies

Triathlons, trail running, road biking, hiking, skate skiing, camping. Basically anything that gets me outdoors and active! Also prior to moving to Utah I enjoyed remodeling my house and tending to my large vegetable/fruit garden.

Why Utah?

I had lived in Salt Lake City a few years ago while doing a Post-Doc research year and I fell in love then and could think of nowhere else I would want to do residency! First, I love the area because of the easy accessibility to the outdoors and how much most people who live here appreciate and are passionate about that. Second, from my experiences doing research here I was very impressed by how collegial and progressive the University of Utah was. It felt like an institution that supported it faculty and trainees and an institution that I could be a proud to be part of. Third, and most importantly, I was very happy with the PMR department when I did my away rotation here. I felt that the scope and depth of training the residents receive here would foster my development as a rehab doctor while getting to spend time with faculty and fellow residents that I respect and want to spend time with. All in all, I could think of nowhere else I would want to be. I am beyond happy to be here, I love my fellow residents, and I am just so excited about the residency program here!
