Why I Chose Utah: I chose Utah because the strengths of the PM&R program were closely aligned with my passions/interests. I was particularly drawn to the TRAILS adaptive program, the POWER program at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and robust VA training. My interactions with faculty and residents on interview day greatly reinforced my positive impression of the program; in addition, a culture of support, collaboration, and wellness came through strongly, which was important to me. Lastly, I was excited to explore a new region, and Utah’s mountains and outdoor recreation made it the perfect fit!
