Mentorship Matters
Community physicians are essential to training the next generation of rural providers.
As rural providers in communities across Utah and the Intermountain West, you’ll help shape physicians who are prepared to show up, stay, and care.
As a preceptor, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor medical students through:
- Clinical rotations
- Research
- Community engagement
You’ll share your clinical expertise, and also what it means to practice medicine in the place you call home.
As adjunct faculty, you’ll have an academic home in the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine's Division of Medical Education
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) opportunities
- Faculty development and teaching support
- Library services and educational resources
- Clerkship tools and resources to support clinic efficiency while working with medical learners
