Jennifer Griswold, APRN
Title: Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer is an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner who provides primary care and mental health services in a variety of settings including the geriatric psychiatry clinic, assisted living facilities, and memory care units. The older adult population has always had a special place in her heart as she loves learning from her patients and has dedicated the majority of her professional career to caring for older adults. Jennifer understands the important relationship between mental and physical health, and strives to provide comprehensive “whole person” care. She received her Master’s degree in Nursing at Marysville University.
Britni Hulser, LCSW
Title: Social Worker
Britni is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing mental health care to a varied group of patients of all ages, including intellectually and socially impaired persons with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Britni performs the intake assessments for new patients to the clinic, as well as offers therapy. She is certified in therapeutic crisis intervention and as a dementia assistant. Britni’s passion for mental health stems from her belief that people of any age deserve to be heard and validated. Britni loves working with older adults to help improve their lives, reduce symptoms, and develop better coping skills. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University.
Title: Medical Assistant
Megan is our indispensable and energetic medical assistant who assists both our patients and clinicians in the clinic. She is a regular presence for patients before and after their appointments -updating medical information, performing cognitive and mood screens, and drawing blood. She also assists with scheduling appointments, returning telephone calls, and filling out insurance forms. She is trained as an emergency medical technician, certified nursing assistant, and a certified dementia assistant. She has varied interests in the healthcare field, but is particularly interested in mental health. Megan enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in the mental health field and continually strives to refine her skills and abilities in order to function at a higher level as a healthcare professional.
Melanie Stengel, BA
Title: Clinic Coordinator
Melanie is our diligent clinic coordinator who provides administrative support to keep the clinic running smoothly. She also assists patients with care coordination to ensure their needs are being met. Melanie is the pleasant voice that new patients hear when they get a welcome phone call before their first appointment at the clinic. She is passionate about mental health and removing the stigma that surrounds it. She recognizes the lack of mental health services available to older adults in our community and is motivated to recruit patients into the clinic. Melanie received her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration at BYU-Idaho and is also certified as a dementia assistant.
Our psychiatry residents are doctors who are completing their training under the direct supervision of our board-certified geriatric psychiatry faculty. They are caring and competent doctors who are well-qualified to care for you. The geriatric psychiatrist is at the clinic with the residents at all times and will join in at the end of each visit to answer any questions or provide additional expertise.
