Geoff oversees all administrative and financial functions in the department. He has worked for University since 2000 with roles in Customer Service, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, Budgeting & Finance, and Neurosurgery. Geoff received his Bachelors in Accounting and MBA from the David Eccles School of Business at University of Utah.
Associate Director of Operations
Kelly helps direct administrative and financial operations within the department. She is an Associate Professor in the Department as well as the Associate Director of Training for the Psychiatry Residency Program. Kelly is a licensed psychologist and has held numerous administrative positions at the University as well as at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center.
Abbie provides administrative support to the department and department Chair. She is responsible for managing and scheduling meetings, planning events, coordinating visits of guests, and assisting with travel. Her efforts include executing the department’s monthly Grand Rounds series and serving as a liaison for the executive committee.
Jill works for the Department of Psychiatry primarily executing reimbursements, facilitating mental health court, and purchasing on behalf of faculty and staff. She also supports many of the department's day-to-day administrative tasks. Jill is currently a student at the University of Utah majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
Manager of Accounting & Finance
Kristie oversees the accounting and financial functions of the department and the department's outpatient clinic. She is responsible for AR/AP, purchasing, payroll, CIP, budgeting, inventory, expense allocations, and fiscal reporting. She received her Accounting degree from the University's School of Business and offers over 20 years of related experience.
Director of Advancement and Outreach
Anne's work includes the education, engagement, solicitation and stewardship of current and potential financial support for both the Department of Psychiatry and the University Neuropsychiatric Institute. She facilitates support for clinical, research, and academic domains through the cultivation of individual, corporate, and foundation funding sources.
Faculty Programs Manager
Jenny manages faculty recruitment/retention processes in Psychiatry, acting as liaison to offices of the VP for Academic Affairs/Health Sciences, Medical Staff Services, Provider Enrollment, and UNI Compliance. Jenny earned a BA in History from CSU and has worked at the University of Utah since 1997, joining the department in 2009.
Karen provides administrative support to the Division Chiefs. Her responsibilities include organizing calendars, scheduling meetings, and assisting with travel. Additionally, she assists the Faculty Programs Manager with faculty recruitment. Karen has a BS in Family & Consumer Studies from the University and has worked here for 12 years.
Tara oversees the department’s research accounting and finance functions. Her responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, budgeting, and controlling finances. She provides financial insight for principal investigators to make strategic financial decisions. She has a BS in Political Science and BS in Sociology. She has worked at the University of Utah for over 22 years.
Chelsey is responsible for the effective and timely handling of all research grants and contracts. In conjunction with the University’s Office of Sponsored Projects, she prepares, interprets, negotiates, and executes agreements for projects funded by federal and state agencies, foundations and other public and private sources.
Jaime currently oversees the Psychiatry Training Programs for the Department. She has worked as a Graduate Medical Education program administrator since 2001. She has served in leadership roles at the University & in national organizations. As a Certified Training Administrator for GME (C-TAGME), she mentors coordinators & advocates for coordinator professional development. She currently serves as the Chair of the Program Administrators Professional Development & TAGME Committee for the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Training Programs (AADPRT).
Glenda provides collaborative, clerical, and administrative support to the General Psychiatry Residency Training Program and its Resident Rural Idaho Track. She joined the department’s training program in 2003.
Administrative Program Coordinator
Jessie supports the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Triple Board, and Addiction Medicine and Addiction Psychiatry training programs. Her duties include assisting with recruitment of applicants, matriculation of candidates, and management of resident activities through the duration of the residency. She is focused on education, wellness, and personal development and advocates for resident, fellow, faculty, and staff burnout awareness and overall wellness. She has worked as a Graduate Medical Education Program Coordinator and within student affairs at the University of Utah since 2012. She's presented at national conferences and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Administrative Program Coordinator
Lindsay supports the General Psychiatry residency training program. Her role includes managing the recruitment of program applicants, day-to-day administration and coordination of the general psychiatry residency, and Mental Health Integration (MHI) clinics. Lindsay joined the University of Utah in November of 2019. Her background includes her integral role in the creation, design and administration of elevated learning programs in secondary education. She also has extensive experience as an academic tutor and life-long learning strategies coach. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Psychology and Communications, from Southern Utah University.
Monica oversees all the content presented on the Department's website and social media profiles. She is responsible for creating, editing, posting, maintaining, updating, and occasionally cleaning up outdated content. She also contributes to and supports departmental marketing efforts and events, including educational programs, community outreach, and research.
Outpatient Services Specialist
Mylie has many patient-facing responsibilities, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in for our outpatient clinics. Additionally, she processes referrals and prior authorizations for neuropsychological testing. She also supports several providers by managing their schedules and monitoring EPIC for patient messages.
Stacey manages all day-to-day aspects of the Medical Student Education for Psychiatry, including the 3rd and 4th year Psychiatry courses. She also coordinates clinical rotations for International, Visiting, and External Physician Assistant Students. Stacey has 30 years of experience working in the field of Psychiatry.
