2019 Triple Board/Post Pediatric Portal Summit

April 5-6, 2019 • Salt Lake City, UT

Triple Boarders in Action: Deconstructing the Boundaries Between Physical and Mental Health

Are you a current Triple Board (TB) or Post Pediatric Portal (PPP) trainee? Did you graduate from a TB or PPP program? Are you a medical student interested in learning more about these programs? Or are you simply someone who is interested in the interface between mental and physical health? If you answered yes to any of these, you should join us at this year’s Triple Board/Post Pediatric Portal Summit in beautiful Salt Lake City, UT.

In partnership with the Department of Pediatrics, the Department of Psychiatry is proud to present a summit that consists of an optional ski day on Friday (cost not included in registration), followed by a meet-and-greet Friday evening, and a one-day conference on Saturday. In keeping with the spirit of past Summits, we have a fabulous line-up of speakers covering topics relevant to those interested in the intersection of physical and mental health. This year’s theme is providing psychiatric care outside of the traditional psychiatric practice. New this year is the addition of a poster session.

Topics include:

  • Psychosomatics in Eating Disorders [Anne O’Melia, MS, MD]
  • Integrating Trauma Screening and Care into Primary Care [Brooks Keeshin, MD]
  • Creating a True Medical Home for Individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders [Deborah Bilder, MD]
  • Mental Health in Primary Care and Emergency Room Settings [Lisa Giles, MD]
  • Break out sessions on career development, finding a job that doesn’t fit the typical mold, Triple Board 101 for med students and more!

If you haven't already, join our mailing list to receive updates about the 2019 summit.
