To apply for a fellowship position, please email your completed Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) Universal Application to our coordinator.
We participate in the Breast Imaging Fellowship Match sponsored by the SBI and managed by the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The SBI has implemented an All in Policy for the Match. This means that programs participating in the Match cannot extend any offers to candidates outside of the match. Applicants can withdraw from the Match prior to the ranking deadline if they accept a position outside of the Match. In order to become a fellow at Huntsman Cancer Hospital at the University of Utah, you must register with the Radiology Match through the NRMP. Applicants will pay $75 registration fee to register for the Match.
Our fellowship program is following the guidelines set for the match by the SBI and will not be interviewing candidates until the interview period begins on December 1, 2020. Applications are being accepted now and invitations to interview will be sent out in November and December to allow plenty of time for trip planning.
Date Pattern for the Match:
- Interview period opens December 1, 2020
- March 24, 2021: Match opens
- April 21, 2021: Ranking opens
- May 19, 2021: Quota change deadline
- June 2, 2021: Ranking closes
- June 16, 2021: Match Day
- July 1, 2022: Training begins
