I grew up in a small town in Northern Utah, where I developed a love for the mountains, tight-knit communities, and diverse landscapes. I attended the University of Utah for undergrad, where I studied anatomy and physiology and ceramics, gained clinical experience working in the hospital, and discovered my passion for medicine. I then moved to Maine for medical school, where I enjoyed the beaches while developing interests in emergency medicine, medical education, and rural medicine.

Interests & Hobbies
I love pottery and have been throwing on the wheel for well over a decade at this point. I also enjoy snowboarding, hiking, camping, road/trail running, and stand up paddle boarding.
Why Utah?
My dream of training at the University of Utah started when I was young, but it became much more meaningful as I learned about Utah EM. I saw firsthand how skilled and confident the residents become, how supportive and invested the leadership is, and how collaborative the entire hospital feels. While working in the SICU at the hospital before med school, I had the opportunity to work alongside EM residents who became role models for me. Their competence, humility, and ability to manage complex patients reflected the strength of their training. Utah is also home for me, and being close to family while training in a place that has shaped both my personal and professional growth makes this opportunity especially meaningful.
