I grew up in a small ski town in Alaska, where I developed a deep love of playing outside. I knew I wanted to become a physician at an early age after living and working in communities off the road system and witnessing the health care disparities that exist in rural communities. Knowing I wanted to go to med school eventually, I took a few years after college and worked seasonal jobs like commercial salmon fishing, helicopter ski guiding, raft guiding, and scribing in the ED. The intensity and fast pace of these jobs, coupled with my interest in providing care to resource-limited communities, made becoming an EM doc an easy decision.

Interests & Hobbies
Big days in the mountains, slow mornings drinking coffee, budget traveling, berry picking in the fall, Pacifico with lime, sauna culture, spending time with friends & family.
