Originally from the mountains of Colorado, I spent my high school years in Washington, DC, and a year in Chicago dancing with the Joffrey Ballet before moving to Salt Lake City for college. Unsure of what I wanted to study, I took an EMT course my first semester and quickly found my path, beginning what has now been a decade of work in EMS. I found my work so engaging that I chose to continue my training and went to paramedic school. After working for many years as a paramedic, I still felt drawn to learn more and expand my scope, and with the support of mentors and loved ones, decided medical school was the right next step. Throughout med school, I have been lucky to continue working as a paramedic, which has helped me stay grounded and connected to the work that inspires me.

Interests & Hobbies
Adventures in the mountains and deserts of Utah, travel abroad for food and wine, ballet classes when I need to reset, knitting and bread baking after busy weeks, and evenings at the Utah Symphony or Utah Opera.
Why Utah?
I have had the incredible privilege of working alongside the amazing faculty and residents here in Utah both during medical school and in my prehospital work. The culture here is deeply supportive, and the commitment to education and mentorship is so strong. I have felt encouraged in my interests within emergency medicine, particularly in EMS and medical education, and I could not be more thrilled to continue my training in a place that already feels like home.
