Ergonomics & Safety

Intended for students who wish to the further their careers in occupational health practice, the Certificate of Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) with the Ergonomics and Safety option is appropriate for baccalaureate prepared students seeking additional competency in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) as it applies to the career field of Ergonimics and Safety. 

Objectives

The COSH-ERGO program allows students to gain competencies in the following:

  • Managing programs, including design of monitoring programs
  • Critically evaluate data related to ergonomic and safety issues in the workplace
  • Interpret government standards and other guidelines relating to ergonomics and safety issues
  • Increase independence in assessing and developing plans for ergonomic and safety programs
