Welcome from Our Division Chief
Welcome to the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Utah. We are a multidisciplinary team of specialists dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, education and clinical research in vascular surgery.
Our clinical team consists of a highly trained group of physicians and advanced practice clinicians who provide comprehensive care to patients with vascular disease in Utah and throughout states in the Intermountain West. This includes consultation and care for a wide spectrum of conditions affecting the arteries and veins, which may involve diagnostic testing, vascular medicine, surgery, and endovascular interventions. Our faculty are all Board Certified in Vascular Surgery and have trained at leading medical institutions across the country. We focus on providing evidence-based medicine and keeping up with all the cutting-edge surgical and interventional procedures available to treat vascular disease and achieve the best patient outcomes.
We are proud to train some of the brightest vascular surgery fellows in the nation. Our highly sought 2-year ACGME accredited fellowship training positions are filled annually by top-ranked candidates from across the US. Our graduates have gone on to pursue both academic and private practice positions across the country, taking with them advanced open surgical and endovascular skills along with the clinical decision making abilities to deliver the highest-quality of vascular care.
Our team is also dedicated to undertaking innovative clinical research that can help determine the best procedures and approaches for taking care of patients with vascular conditions and achieving superior outcomes. Groundbreaking research in our division over the years has been supported by numerous grant awards from the National Institute of Health, Veterans Health Administration, research foundations, and industry sponsors. And we are committed to translating research finding into ways to better care for our patients.
