About Me
Michael was raised in Keller, Texas, a suburb north of Fort Worth. He attended the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science, during which time his interest in surgery began. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to graduate with a distinction in research from the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio.

Interests & Hobbies
Michael's hobbies include skiing, tennis, hiking, and spending time with his wife and French Bulldog
Why Utah?
Michael completed an away rotation in Utah as a fourth-year medical student, and was stunned by both the complexity of neurosurgical cases as well as the case volume available. The operative experience paired with the emphasis on academics and resources for research productivity ultimately led Michael to choose the University of Utah.
