Leadership

Vice Chair for Researchwill oversee department research programs and resources, strategize new program development, grow research funding, support faculty and trainees, facilitate research entrepreneurship, and promote interdisciplinary research programs at the University of Utah. Vice Chair for Operationsseeking a radiologist who can serve as the Vice Chair for Clinical Operations. This individual is expected to promote the value of clinical imaging in our rapidly expanding health system. Among various responsibilities, the candidate is expected to oversee and provide clinical services in collaboration with section chiefs; establish and operationalize clinical staffing models; create new service lines; strategize clinical IT; integrate workforce and teaching in the clinic in collaboration with training program directors; assist translational research in the clinic; expand clinical network operations within the health system; interface with clinical departments, hospitals, and clinics; and improve quality of the clinical practice.
