The University of Utah Physician Assistant Program (UPAP) is accredited by ARC-PA, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. UPAP is a full-time program that begins each summer semester (early May) and spans 27 months over seven continuous semesters. Part-time or interrupted attendance is not an option, and no online classes are offered. Requests for advance placement are not considered. Accepted candidates must complete all curricular components of the program. Graduates of the program receive an MPAS, Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

2023 application year (for 2024 matriculating class):
The CASPA application submission deadline passed on August 1st
August 10th – last day to take CASPer test, register by August 7th.
September 1st - CASPA application verification (processing) deadline.
Mid-October - Interview status notifications sent via e-mail.
