I have been a practicing registered nurse since 2005. I have worked in a variety of settings, and especially enjoyed my time in critical care, post-anesthesia care, and most recently in cardiovascular procedural nursing. I started working in nursing education in 2009 as a clinical nurse educator. My experience in nursing education in the hospital was valuable, but my passion is working with nursing students. I completed my MS in Nursing Education in 2020. Before joining the University of Utah College of Nursing, I gained experience in academia as a clinical and didactic professor for pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical-surgical courses. I am currently teaching clinical, simulation, and online courses. I am passionate about nursing and nursing education. It is my hope to inspire students to become life-long learners and confident patient advocates.
