I completed my PhD at the University of Maryland in Motor Behavior with a second emphasis in research design, statistics, and measurement. I have held administrative positions for most of my career as a Director of Labs, Editor of Research Journals, Director of Graduate Studies, and as a Department Chair. I enjoy collaborating with others on research projects and have been a chair or mostly a committee member of over 200 student theses and dissertations as a methodologist.
Research Statement
My research interests are very varied but primarily involve measurement based, hypothesis driven, quantitative research that is interdisciplinary in nature. I prefer to work in research teams that focus on instrument development or improvement and intervention studies using physical activity interventions to enhance the quality of life from a health perspective.
