Dana Klanderud joined the University of Utah Pulmonary Division in 2019 as a Nurse Practitioner. She works alongside expert physicians and pharmacists that specialize in an array of lung diseases including asthma, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary sarcoidosis, COPD, and interstitial lung disease. Dana earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Washington in 2017, followed by completion of a year-long Cardiovascular Fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in 2011 where she graduated with Honors and a minor in nutrition. She initially became interested in pulmonary medicine while working as an RN in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Utah Hospital. She has nursing experience in several specialties including pulmonary critical care, heart failure, and post-operative care.
She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. On her days off Dana enjoys cooking, exploring the farmers market, mountain biking, and spending time with her husband, friends, and cat (Tom Noodle). Dana is currently taking new general pulmonary patients at the Sugarhouse Clinic.
