Emily Moulton Parker, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor (Clinical) in the Division of General Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine. She is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Utah, with specialty in autism spectrum disorders and pediatric neuropsychology. She works with children, adolescents, and their families within the University Developmental Assessment Clinics (UDAC). Dr. Parker earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut, specializing in the early detection of autism spectrum disorders, and developmental trajectories following early diagnosis. She completed an APA-accredited Predoctoral Psychology Internship at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior within the Pediatric Neuropsychology track. Dr. Parker additionally completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA dually focused in autism spectrum disorders and pediatric neuropsychology. She is a certified provider in the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERSÒ), an evidence-based social skills program for preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults. Throughout her career, Dr. Parker has focused on the comprehensive assessment of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental differences (autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, cognitive impairment, language delay), psychiatric challenges (anxiety, depression), and medical conditions impacting cognition (epilepsy, brain injury, pediatric cancers). She is passionate about improving our understanding of cognitive and social skill development, and effective interventions to address neurodevelopmental challenges. She pursues her work through clinical assessment, intervention, and research programs.
