Geneviève "G" Olivier, PT, DPT, PhD (Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist) is an Assistant Professor (Clinical) in the University of Utah Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Boston University in 2009, graduated from the TIRR Memorial Hermann Neurologic PT Residency Program in 2012, and earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Utah in 2020. At the University of Utah, Dr. Olivier teaches the neuromuscular management content as well as motor control and motor learning content, and her research focuses on motor learning and high-intensity exercise in aging and neurologically-involved populations. Dr. Olivier loves teaching and, having earned a designation in Higher Education Teaching Specialization, is committed to using best current evidence to inform her teaching approaches. While her current clinical practice is in an outpatient neurologic clinic, Dr. Olivier has worked across the entire neurologic continuum of care, including acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, outpatient community reintegration, home-and community-based community reintegration, and wellness. As a clinician, she is passionate about measuring and optimizing patient outcomes.
