Dr. Altawallbeh is a board-certified Clinical Chemist for Primary Children’s Hospital and Intermountain Central Laboratory. He is also adjunct Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah Medical Center. Altawallbeh focuses his research activities on esoteric testing where he applies mass spectrometry and immunoassays in broader clinical diagnostic use. His research effort aims to detect, predict and delay the progression of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes millets, and cystic fibrosis. Also, he is interested and performed several laboratory quality projects including quality improvement, method comparisons, and interference studies. In addition, he has been learning and applying data analytics to enable improved quality and efficiency.
