Dr. Corneli received his medical degree from University of Wisconsin, completed his pediatric residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital, and his fellowship at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati. He has been on the faculty at the University of Utah since 1984. In 1997, he earned a Diploma in Statistics from Oxford University. Dr. Corneli is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

He is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Primary Children´s Hospital, where he is a full-time staff physician in the Emergency Department.

His academic interests include biostatistics in medical decision-making, accidental hypothermia, and infant respiratory diseases.
