Jackson Richards, MD, PhD, Instructor (Clinical), is a board-eligible psychiatrist with expertise in inpatient and interventional psychiatry. He received his medical doctorate and graduate doctorate degrees from the University of Utah. He completed psychiatry residency training at the University of Iowa and is thrilled to return to Utah. Dr. Richards currently serves as an attending psychiatrist at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute’s Kem and Carolyn Gardner Mental Health Crisis Care Center. He will be involved in the expansion of the Treatment-Resistant Mood Disorders Clinic to this site and plans to participate in clinical trials. Dr. Richards also enjoys working with medical students and psychiatry residents.
