Jeanna Tachiki Ryan, PhD Candidate, MPAS, PA-C, MSCIS, MS, RDN, is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Division of Physician Assistant Education and Sciences. Her research focuses on health informatics, nutrition, reproductive health, sleep, and weight management.

Previously, Ryan worked as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Allergy & Immunology at University of Utah Health. She also has experience in entrepreneurship in medical device (hardware and software) development, patent filing, and early-stage startup fundraising. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for 8 years in a variety of clinical, higher education, and public health settings in Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Boston.

Ryan is earning her PhD in Health & Kinesiology from the University of Utah. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) from the University of Utah, Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MSCIS) from Boston University, and Master of Science (MS) in Nutrition from Boston University.
