Joan M. Gregory, MLS

Joan M. Marcotte Gregory received her MLS from the University of Rhode Island and her BA in Mathematics from Brown University. Joan is a distinguished member of the Medical Library Association’s Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP). As Associate Director, Resources and Facilities at the University of Utah’s Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library and a tenured member of the Library faculty, Joan provides leadership and vision in the management of the library and the health sciences education buildings including scheduling, safety and security, contracts, repairs, maintenance, and construction. Joan also manages interlibrary loan and document delivery services, purchasing, disaster planning, greening efforts, and community engagement. Joan has coordinated statistical reporting and has collaborated with colleagues in evaluating trends in library resources and related services. Joan serves as a member of the Library Leadership Team which is responsible for planning, formulating and administering policies as well as providing input into the annual budgeting process.
