Kamile Melek Weischedel, MD, Assistant Professor (Clinical), earned her medical degree at University of Istanbul. She then spent 3 years in psychiatry residency in her home country before she moved to the United States. She worked as a postdoc research associate at Yale University before coming to the University of Utah Department of Psychiatry to complete her residency training. During residency, Dr. Weischedel was involved in teaching medical students and fellow residents and her interest areas include neuromodulation (ECT, TMS, Ketamine), addiction psychiatry, teaching and tele-psychiatry. She was the Track IV Director for the University of Utah medical students between 2017 and 2021. She is board-certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
