Lucy Mower is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Physiology from the University of Utah, where she focused her studies on sports nutrition. During her graduate studies, she completed the required didactic coursework and supervised practicum hours to qualify for the RD exam administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Lucy emphasizes patient-centered nutrition counseling and education, using a variety of approaches to ensure interventions are individualized and aligned with each patient’s goals. Her primary approach supports incremental change while fostering a positive relationship with food and nutrition. In individual medical nutrition therapy appointments, she works collaboratively with patients to identify sustainable behavior changes they are motivated to make, promoting long-term health.

With a background in sports nutrition, Lucy enjoys working with endurance athletes at the University of Utah Orthopedic Center to optimize performance through proper fueling. She also specializes in dietary interventions for individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, including food allergies, intolerances, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and unintentional weight loss.

In addition to providing individual medical nutrition therapy appointments, Lucy collaborates with Dr. Joy English on the RESTORE Lifestyle Medicine Program at the University of Utah Orthopedic Center. She also helps facilitate several programs within the Osher Center for Integrative Health, including New You, One Day Wellness, Diabetes Prevention, and Food Pharmacy. She is currently seeing patients at the Orthopedic Center and Madsen Health Center (departments of Family Practice and Internal Medicine). Additionally, she serves as a guest lecturer for the College of Pharmacy and the College of Health’s Physician Assistant Program. In her free time, Lucy enjoys spending time in the mountains.
