Following an extensive career practicing in the acute care setting, Ms. Hollister began teaching at the University of Utah in 1995, as Director of Community Service. Active teaching in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program began in 2001. Currently serves as a University of Utah Academic Senator, representing the College of Nursing. Long term interests and activites include Community Engaged Learning, Concept-based teaching and learning, simulation, interprofessional education and curriculum design. Awards include Excellence in Service Award by the University of Utah College of Nursing, Excellence in Clinical Teaching by the Utah Nurses Association, Excellence in Teaching by the University of Utah, College of Nursing and Excellence in Education from Gamma Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Recently the Hearts and Hands Award for service work was given by the Utah Nonprofit Association, Utah Society of Fundraisers, and the Utah Idaho Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Association.
