Dr. Marcus D. Mazur is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah. His clinical focus is on disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He completed a postgraduate complex spine fellowship at the University of Virginia, where he received advanced training both in the correction of spinal deformity and in minimally invasive spine surgery. He specializes in the treatment of deformity, scoliosis, spinal instability, spondylolisthesis, disc herniation, stenosis, myelopathy, tumor, infection, and trauma. He also practices general neurosurgery. Dr. Mazur is actively in clinical research and has has authored several peer-reviewed publications and frequently presents his research at national scientific meetings. He sees patients both at the Clinical Neuroscience Center and at Farmington Health Center. Within the department he serves as the Director of our CAST approved Neurosurgical Spine Fellowship and Program Director of the Neurosurgery Residency.
