Dr. Matt Givens grew up in Columbus, Ohio before moving down to North Carolina for his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He fell in love with the UNC community so stayed in Chapel Hill for his medical school and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is looking forward to a new adventure in Salt Lake City, pursuing a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Utah. Within MFM, Dr. Givens has an interest in environmental exposures (air and water pollution) and the impact on pregnancy outcomes. When he is not at work, you can find him out on a hike, backpacking trip, or on the ski slopes.
