Academic Bio

Dr. Viera-Hutchins received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Yale New-Haven Hospital, and her fellowship training in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at University of California Los Angeles. She worked in private practice in Allergy and Immunology for 3 years following the completion of her fellowship. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and Clinical Pharmacology.

She is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology. She specializes in the treatment of both adult and children with allergy, asthma, and immune disorders. Dr. Viera-Hutchins has a special interest in the management of immunodeficiency, food allergy, medicine allergy, nasal and ocular allergy, severe asthma, chronic sinusitis, and chronic hives.
