Academic Bio

Martin Szegedi, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Utah and a Medical Physicist at Huntsman Cancer Hospital (HCH). Dr. Szegedi earned an MS in Medical Engineering from the TFH Berlin, Germany and an MPM from Sydney University, Australia. He received his PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Szegedi is an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). Dr. Szegedi's clinical and research interests include non-radiation based image guided radiotherapy (IGRT), radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and 4D motion based therapeutic treatment approaches.
