Academic Bio

Kevin Hutton, MD, FACEP, began his medical career in 1980 as an ambulance driver and subsequently became a flight physician, air medical researcher, air medical operational medical director, and San Diego County EMS system quality assurance committee Chairman. He completed medical school at Georgetown University and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Emergency Medicine. After finishing his residency he was on the faculty at the University of California at San Diego from 1990-1995. Dr. Hutton has been in clinical practice in the Emergency Departments of Scripps Memorial Medical Center La Jolla and Palomar Medical Center in San Diego from 1995- 2012. Dr. Hutton became certified in healthcare compliance in 2005. Dr. Hutton Joined the Faculty of the University of Utah in 2012.
