Dr. Bruggers received her medical degree from Michigan State University in 1984,completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, and her Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina. She joined the faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah School of Medicine following completion of her fellowship in 1992.

Dr. Bruggers is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. She is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah, Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Her specific clinical and research interests focus on Pediactic Neuro-Oncology and Quality of Life/Late Effects.
