Douglas Gray, MD, Professor (Clinical) Emeritus, served as Psychiatry's Vice Chair of Education from 2015 until 2020. His pioneering work in growing successful programs to train psychiatrists in Utah spans two decades. Dr. Gray studies suicide completers in an attempt to better understand suicide risk factors, and to help develop future suicide prevention programs across the age span. He uses psychological autopsies, genetics and toxicology methods to make inroads to get a better understanding of suicide risk factors.
