John Doane, MD FACP is an Internist at the University of Utah Hospital, Clinic 2. His clinical interests include preventative care with an emphasis on exercise, and management of chronic disease such as diabetes, COPD, hypertension, and coronary artery disease. In addition to clinic 2, Dr. Doane is an internal medicine consultant for the Women’s Midlife Assessment Clinic, and has volunteered at the Pamela Atkinson/Fourth Street clinic since 2002 Dr. Doane received an AB with departmental honors from Stanford University in 1983 , and his MD from Bowman Gray/Wake Forest School of Medicine in 1987. He received training in Internal Medicine from the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals. In the past Dr.Doane served as Medical Director of the Home- Based Health Care Program (VAMC Salt Lake City). He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and was recertified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2011.
