Jeanna Tachiki Ryan, PhD, MPAS, PA-C, MSCIS, MS, RDN, is an Assistant Professor (Research) in the Division of Physician Assistant Education and Sciences. Her research focuses on the intersections of metabolic health, reproductive health, and sleep/circadian science.

Previously, Ryan worked as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Allergy & Immunology at University of Utah Health. She also has a background in computer information systems and experience in entrepreneurship in medical device (hardware and software) development, patent filing, FDA regulatory processes, and early-stage startup fundraising. Prior to becoming a PA and entrepreneur, she worked as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for 8 years in a variety of clinical (oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, organ transplant, and weight management), education, and public health settings in Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Boston.
