Elizabeth Gargaro, MD, Assistant Professor (Clinical), earned her medical degree at University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She completed her Triple Board Residency (Pediatrics/Psychiatry/Child & Adolescent Psychiatry) at the University of Utah. In her final year, she served as Chief Resident and coordinated the Triple Board/Post-Pediatric Portal Program Summit, a national conference for Triple Board and PPPP trainees and alumni.

Dr. Gargaro was drawn to Triple Board by its emphasis on the intersection between physical and mental health. During training, she sought opportunities to hone her skills providing mental health care in a primary care setting, consulting with primary care providers, and navigating complex systems/diagnoses. Her clinical interests include collaborative care, medical education, systems-based practice, and eating disorders. Board certified in pediatrics, psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Gargaro is delighted to be a member of the department and the clinical faculty at the University of Utah Huntsman Mental Health Institute where she works at the interface between physical and mental health care.
