Sean McMillan, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. He is a general clinical rheumatologist who sees patients with all forms of rheumatic disease.

He received a Bachelor’s in Medical Humanities at Davidson College, Davidson, NC and his medical degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. He completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. He practiced rheumatology in Salt Lake City, Utah for over 10 years prior to joining the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2015. Dr. McMillan serves as Associate Program Director of the rheumatology fellowship training program at the University of Utah. He is engaged in industry sponsored clinical research pertaining to treatment of acute flares of gout.
