Academic Information

Departments Primary - Radiology & Imaging Sciences

Dr. Cross is a research associate professor at the University of Utah where she heads the Neuroimaging and Biotechnology Laboratory. Her research passion is to make a significant impact on the therapeutic and diagnostic options for neurological disorders and dementia through imaging. Her research includes investigations such as a new therapeutic approach for brain injury and neurodegeneration using microtubule-stabilizing agents as well as the use of MR-guided, focused ultrasound to treat spinal cord injury. She is an active study section participant for NIH, RSNA, and the Alzheimer's Association. Dr. Cross was the 2022/2023 president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI Brain Imaging Council (BIC).
